DataDot Technology is an optional theft deterrent system that leaves a permanent unique ID number on your vehicle.
DataDot is a state of the art identification technology that allows vehicles to be quickly and effectively marked with their own unique ID number. DataDots are applied to multiple locations on the vehicle and may include high theft components.
Each Data Dot PIN is registered with the Insurance Services Organization and Insurance Crime Bureau. If the product fails and the vehicle is stolen and not recovered within 30 days, the customer will receive a limited warranty amount of $5,000.
This optional Theft Deterrent System leaves a permanent unique ID number on your vehicle.
Our Secure Etch and Courtesy Guard products leave a permanent unique ID number on the vehicle which cannot be removed without defacing or replacing the various marked components.
During the term of the Certificate of Limited Warranty, if the Theft Deterrent System fails and the vehicle is stolen and not recovered within 30 days, the driver is entitled to the Limited Warranty amount set forth in the contract.
These Theft Deterrent Systems come with a Certificate of Limited Warranty and they are not products of insurance. They are not cancelable. *
